Born and raised in Cape Town, Xolisa’s love for music developed at a young age when he started singing in his school’s choir. He later joined a local choir which saw his passion for music grow even more. Now, as a born-again Christian, Xolisa uses his music as a platform to preach the gospel to those in need. Xolisa released his demo album “I will come out” in 2014 and in that same year, won the first spot for the best vocal artist in the Top 20 hosted by Tygerberg 104FM. He became an ambassador for Tygerberg 104FM’s Xhosa Department.In 2015, Xolisa released his debut album “Siphila Ngaye” which earned him the Best Praise Album award and the Song of the Year at the 2015 Cape Town Gospel Music Awards.Xolisa has made appearances on numerous broadcasting platforms including, SABC TV, Bay TV, Soweto TV and KZN TV. His music has also been played on community and regional radio stations including Umhlobo Wenene and Ukhozi FM.
